If you are using using FlexCredit, you will be notified by email, if your credit level gets low. We also notify you if you run out of FlexCredit.
However, unlike may other providers, we do not bar your calls if you have no credit. Instead, as a safeguard, we connect your callers to your voicemail and deliver any message to you, free of charge, via your email address as an atttachment. You can listen to this, for free, on your PC, Mac or Smartphone, such as an Apple iPhone or the HTC Android. This complimentary safeguard is unique to Flextel and protects your investment in marketing your business or corporate numbers.
For the details on differences between Personal and Business numbers and their routing capabilities and to understand this better, see Which Service Do I Need?
You might also like to view our Free International and UK Routing Summary and for the cost of chargeable calls see Flextel Charge Bands - for Prepaid Calling. Remember, if you choose the right number range than many, and in some cases most, destinations can be free of cost to you, however your callers may pay more. The choice is yours.
Some numbers earn commission. To find out which and how much please see our Flextel Commission Scheme page.
Flextel only charges for answered calls to your Flextel Numbers and only as stated above. There is no monthly fee or minimum calling fee. To comply with Ofcom's numbering efficiency requirements you must make at least one answered call per year to show that you wish to keep your Flextel Number.
Callers to your Flextel Numbers are billed by their mobile or fixed line provider (e.g. Vodafone, O2, Everything Everywhere {Orange+T-mobile}, 3, BT, C&W, etc.) as published in their retail tariff. The retail price charged by BT depends on whether the line is business or residential and which calling plan your caller selected. Ofcom has now deregulated BT's retail pricing and, since that time, BT's tariff has become increasing complex. So it's no longer possible for us to give meaningful guidance on the cost of calling Flextel services. For example 0870 and 0845 are now bundled in free call minities, but only on some BT tariff options.
For details please see the BT web site. You may also wish to see BT's Residential Price List and for 0871 and 070 pricing you will need to also review the BT's Residential and Business special number call price list. Flextel thinks these documents are to complex and since 2004 has been asking Ofcom to introduce "Call Price Labelling" to better protect consumers.
We believe calls to our services, from mobile and other fixed phones, should be charged about the same as BT fixed line rates. If you are being charged significantly more than BT's charge, you may wish to complain to your service provider. If you are still not satisfied with your service provider's response, please check the Ofcom website for what to do next.
For more information on all Flextel are doing to get this very complex area simplified, please see our "Working with Ofcom" page.
