Voicemail to Email User Guide

About Voicemail

Set this feature and get your messages sent direct to your inbox as a WAV file attachment. The email also indicates the FleXtel number called, the date and time of the call and the caller's phone number (Calling Line Identity - CLI). Where the caller's number is withheld, but they forgot to leave their contact details, we notify you of all but the last three digits, to protect the privacy of the caller. Of course if you know the caller's number you can guess who's called.

Note that the email will be sent from "your flextel number"@flextel.net, so please ensure flextel.net is not blocked by any spam filter.

You should also consider that this data is sent via standard email and so is not secured. Although most users do not have a problem with this, you should only select this option, if you are happy to accept the risk.

Benefits

How to activate Voicemail

Login to your Account, using your Account number, or any FleXtel Number, and its associated alphanumeric password (not the PIN). On the right hand side click the 'ICD' button, this will take you to the Reroute & ICD Control page. Now Select the option 'Voicemail' from either of the drop down menus. The first time you select this you will see an alert: 'You have selected the standard announcement. To personalise this, please dial 0870 3210 001 and follow the instructions'.

Typically you will have voicemail set as your ICD destination however, if you want all calls to go to voicemail, set it in Destination. Now you don't have to worry about missing any calls! Your message will be emailed to your registered email account and you will receive an email from "your flextel number"@flextel.net.

When enabled you will receive an email from "your flextel number"@flextel.net. This format makes it easy for your email reader to sort your call notices into special email folders e.g. one for each number. Please ensure that flextel.net is not blocked by any spam filters you operate. If you have the option to whitelist flextel.net, you may wish to do so to ensure uninterrupted email delivery.
